On Friday, November 2 Key West Video will be attending a very special event. Shine Through the Rain Foundation is hosting their annual gala at the Cardinal Golf Club. As the foundation’s video partner, we’ll be on hand to record all the fun for a highlight reel. We’re proud to support a night of fundraising for such a great cause.
Help in a Time of Need
Shine Through the Rain is a nonprofit organization that offers support for patients with life-threatening illnesses. These services are extended to both individuals and families across Canada. Dealing with a serious illness can be stressful and the goal is to provide advice, guidance and financial aid to those who need a ray of sunshine in a dark time. Shine Through the Rain has a mandate to establish positive, lasting change through hope, healing, and comfort.
Services & Programs
Camp Scholarship. Children who have endured a significant illness often miss out on normal childhood events. The Camp Scholarship Program gives them a chance to reconnect with friends and return to beloved activities. From sports camps to music camps, this is an opportunity to rejoin the activities missed most during treatment.
Rainy Day Fund. Medical issues can turn a life upside down. Illness can interrupt work and result in unexpected expenses. The Rainy Day Fund is a financial assistance program for Canadian Citizens who are currently receiving treatment.
Rainy Day Gifts. A care package can lift the spirits of someone who’s down—that’s the idea behind Rainy Day Gifts. Staff take time to carefully hand pack gift bundles for child recipients. Whatever struggle is being faced, the hope is that this gift will offer some small comfort and relief during a difficult time.
This Year’s Gala
The theme for this year’s gala is Escape Reality. Immerse yourself in the evening’s fun by wearing your best mask or purchase a mask when you arrive at the venue. Make sure you put in your best effort for a shot at the prize!
The gala is a fundraiser and all proceeds will go to support patients with life-threatening illnesses. The night will feature dinner, dancing, a silent auction, and other activities. The main entertainment will be provided by mentalist Ryan Edwards.

Whether he’s using his skills for close-up magic or to conduct an entertaining and eye-opening social experiment, Ryan is a gifted performer who always delivers first-rate entertainment.
