It’s hard to believe we’re already five-and-a-half months into 2021. Have you met any of your business goals for the year yet? If not, Key West Video can help when it comes to communicating with your target market, promoting a product or service, and creating awareness of your business. Here are some ways you can make the most of the rest of 2021* with our help.

*This blog makes some assumptions about the next seven months and we recognize that forecasting for that time period is next to impossible. But we stand by this advice all the same!

Spring Planning: April-June

Tell customers what’s staying and what’s going after the pandemic

The pandemic has highjacked life as we knew it for more than a year. Many companies have figured out how to change things up and adapt, but a possible loosening of restrictions make us all hopeful that we can soon return to business as usual. Are you ready? How has your business changed over the last year? Are you reverting to what things looked like before the pandemic, or are you keeping some of the new initiatives you adopted to survive? As we head toward summer, one that we’re all hoping brings more freedoms, let your customers know what to expect.

There are a couple of different videos we’d recommend for businesses that can help bring consumers up to speed. Work with us to create an awareness video if you’re trying to attract new customers or raise your profile in the community. Introduce yourself, talk about your business, tell your origin story, and let people know why you’re great! An awareness video is less about selling a product or service and more about selling the business itself. You want the viewer to walk away with a good understanding of what you do and a positive overall impression.

For a more established company, let your customers know what’s changed since early 2020. As we (hopefully) emerge from the pandemic, give the people who are familiar with your brand an update. Did you open an online store or offer curbside pick-up? This is a chance to talk about any new initiatives that are slated to stick around. It’s also an opportunity to let your patrons know if any services are ending. You can thank the people who have continued to support your business and perhaps celebrate with a sale or some kind of special offer.

Summer Season: July-September

Summer is typically a time to hire extra workers. If you have some fresh faces at work, why take time out of your busy schedule to train each new person as they join the team? Try a training video instead! Training videos are a great time saver and they also ensure a consistent message presented across the workforce. Key West Video has produced training videos that satisfy compliance, show new employees work techniques, and reinforce safety protocols. No matter what kind of team or business you have, we can make a training video that covers all the most important points of working for your business. New employees also have the advantage of being able to watch and review a training video whenever necessary.

Fall Videos: October-December

As we head into fall, this is a great time to let your customers know about holiday promotions and sales. With Thanksgiving and Christmas falling in the last few months of the year, many businesses like to push sales and clear out inventory. A great way to reach out is with a series of short videos that can be posted to social media. Use holiday-related hashtags to draw more attention to your brand and highlight the products and services that make your store or business unique. Try promoting some sale items as attention-getters and also let people know about seasonal offerings.

Promote seasonal sales with a fall video

Video can put a personal touch on your year end. Work with us to create a holiday greeting that gives your customers the warm fuzzies. Thank them for supporting your business. You can also thank your employees for all their hard work over the year. Feature your staff in festive gear or include clips of customers to get everyone in the holiday spirit. This is a chance to show some personality and wish everyone a happy holiday season.

Video for Business Year-Round

For many of us, time has been fluid since early 2020. Sometimes we feel like we’re repeating the same day over and over. But the truth is, things are changing all the time and it pays to be prepared for what’s ahead. Take a moment to think about the next seven months of 2021 and how you can use video to make it a great year for business.
