Is Animojis the future?
On Tuesday, Apple revealed its new line of iPhones. Among them were the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and its biggest reveal: the iPhone X. But one of the major features that stood out was the Animojis.
Animojis is Apple’s version of animated emojis formulated for iPhone X. What’s interesting about the feature is that it will use Apple’s Face ID hardware-scanning recognition to create custom 3D versions based on your facial expressions. iPhone users will be able to edit an emoji in fullscreen. The images are animated in real-time so you can see them before they’re sent off. Whoever gets your message gets them as a looped video with audio.
Essentially, Apple added Snapchat into their hardware.
When it comes to creating content with corporate video, this can be interesting. Apple has discovered a way to imitate facial expressions through Animojis and facial recognition. What if there was a way that same concept could be applied to corporate video?
Instead of creating a traditional corporate video that speaks at its audience, how about finding an interactive way to connect with them, instead?
Think about it.
What if companies invested in 3D digitally-enhanced interactive camera technology that allowed viewers and users who watch their videos to experience facial recognition? Operating similarly to Animojis, viewers would have the option of taking pictures or short videos from a company’s website and uploading it to their social media. It’s an experimental way to interact with users and a great opportunity to establish a stronger online presence through digital marketing.
Your company’s mascot, logo (or, depending on the type of company you are, even product) could be used in augmented reality to replace what would be the ‘Animoji’ element of the 3D read.
Could that company be you?
