The Challenge

ADT Security wanted to demonstrate the benefits of their home security system through a unique installation project. The concept involved providing a homeowner with a complimentary system that would be installed by renovation expert and television personality Bryan Baeumler and his wife, Sarah Baeumler.

During production, an unexpected challenge arose when the homeowner chose not to appear on camera. This meant the story needed to be told without featuring the primary participant while still showcasing the installation process and highlighting the product’s features.

Our Solution

Our team adapted quickly to the situation, adjusting the production approach to focus on the installation process and the involvement of Bryan and Sarah Baeumler. By shifting the emphasis toward the expertise of the installers and the functionality of the system itself, we were able to capture engaging content without requiring the homeowner’s on-camera participation.

Throughout the shoot, our crew worked closely with the on-camera talent to ensure the installation process felt natural and informative for viewers. Dynamic b-roll of the installation, along with coverage of the finished system in action, helped illustrate the benefits of the security solution.

The result is a polished video that demonstrates ADT Security’s technology while also showing our team’s ability to adapt to unexpected challenges and work effectively with high-profile on-camera talent.
