3 More Things That Make Stellar Corporate Video Testimonials

Last year, we named three ingredients that made corporate video testimonials stellar. This year, we’ve outlined three more.

It’s no secret that most corporate videos inevitably include testimonials. Be they from past clients, employees or the employer him/herself, they typically serve to highlight the services of that company and augment their image in the eyes of the public.

Though the idea of a corporate video testimonial is easy, it can be a bit challenging if one doesn’t know what to do first.

Here we’ve outlined three more additional tips when companies are considering shooting testimonials:

1. Body Language

Believe it or not, body language says a lot more than words – especially on camera. It exists as a non-verbal cue and can speak volumes about the subject. In essence, it says the things that a person won’t. If there is unease, nervousness, tension, or inauthenticity, the camera will pick it up. Be sure to thoroughly prepare prior to coming on camera such as breathing exercises, vocal practices, and sometimes even physical activity to shake those nerves.

2. Enthusiasm

A little goes a long way. We’ve all sat through monotonous training videos and boring informational videos. A testimonial should be vibrant, enthusiastic, and excited. Even if the information is dull, a successful testimonial should give all an inquisitive viewer needs to know what it’s like to work with or buy from that particular brand or service.

3. Specificity

Lastly, a good testimonial video should be specific. What exactly was it about that brand, service or product that stood out to you? Was it kind customer service? Did the product exceed expectations? Is there a great return policy? Be specific. Potential customers want to know why they should invest in something based on an honest review of your interaction with the company. First impressions make a significant difference, and being vague isn’t the most compelling way to sway an audience’s mind.

Here at Key West Video, we work with B2B and B2C clients to create smart, specific, enthusiastic video testimonials with positive body language and a strong message. For more information on the services we provide, visit our website today!
